So my obsession with Kerry Louise continues. I’ve been re-watching Screwed as it gets me all excited to see a new, upcoming film with her in it called Power Girls where she’s working with the same producer, KaizenXXX, again. I’m thinking she’s going to be in A LOT of rubber and PVC again which is fine by me! It’s definitely giving me an ‘appreciation’ for his work actually. So much so that I caught up with his to ask him a few questions… okay okay I stalked him and begged him to tell me how he does it.
Your show Screwed looks amazing. You must put so much work into sourcing locations and costumes. Which scene was the most fun of Screwed to set up and why?
Thanks, we always try and put as much effort into the pre production of sourcing suitable locations and great styling as we do with the scene and post production. All the scenes were great fun to setup but definitely The Key Scene with Demetri sticks in the mind as memorable to setup . The opening shot of the sex we find Demetri upside down and strapped to a large fetish wheel whilst being sucked off by the gorgeous Robyn Truelove. We have some really funny bloopers before we managed to get the sequence we were happy with. Demetri is a great stud and although all the blood was rushing to his head he still had wood and was able to manage to keep some blood in his cock to perform.
You really have picked some of the hottest girls in porn to be in it. In fact, I’d go as far to say I fancy every one of them. Why did you pick the particular performers you picked for each scene?
I always try and pick performers, who I feel will do the production justice not only in looks but in performance. The girls on Screwed were some of the best and reliable performers in the UK… As a producer you can put as much effort into each scene and try to cover all eventualities, but the whole thing stands or falls by the talent involved. Everyone was up for Screwed and loved the concept and could see they were working on something that was slightly different and fresh and I feel they upped their game.
Screwed is great homage to recent horror films, but still manages to stay super-sexy. What is your favourite horror film and why?
Difficult really as I’m not a great horror fan and I have to admit I had never seen Saw or Hostel prior to Screwed being developed… As part of the pre-production I sat down and watch both Hostel and Saw making notes and found they were fresh and really revived the horror genre…If I had to choose a fav horror movie it has to be The Shining it is a true horror classic. Jack Nicholson plays the best axe murdering fruit cake you will ever see! HERE’S JOHNNY!
What did you hope to achieve with Screwed?
Kaizenxxx is a young production company and we always try and raise the bar on each production… Screwed was our first true HD production and we tried to achieve something for TVX that was unique, sexy, fresh and broke one or two few rules. One thing we always do is a few subtle parody and tributes to fave movies… In the past we have referenced loads of movies including a few classics like Captain Blood, Pink Panther and Superman….
You’ve managed to create a fun but twisted take on the traditional domination/submission porno. Is this something inspired from your own personal fantasies?
I like that, fun but twisted, but I’m afraid I don’t really fantasies about being taken by a bloke with a drilldo… although who doesn’t have fantasies about waking up to find themselves being sucked off by Robyn Truelove or strapped to a bed with the stunning Kerry Louise in the room ready to fuck you within an inch of your life…
What do you think about the new guidelines around sub/dom porn?
This is something I can’t influence or affect, so I have no opinion…The only guidelines I work to are the specs laid out by TVX…
What kind of feedback have you had about the show?
It’s been great, lots of positive comments from everyone including performers, clients and punters… I am proud to be associated to Screwed and given the chance by TVX to shoot something that is as fresh, unique and different.
As a prominent UK producer, how do you think the UK industry differs from the US one and how do you think Screwed stands up next to high-end American productions?
It’s completely different… as productions it’s like comparing The Bill to CSI… There are lots of really talented porn producers, in the US with a film and TV background… I reckon we could do with a few more technically proficient producers over here. There’s no reason why we can’t compete with the US, I feel Screwed defiantly holds its own against the high end American productions and I would love to see Screwed over there… flying the flag for the UK. The Brits are cumming…
